Step #4 – Item types

Step #4 – Item types

Inventory item types

Item types in PIRO Fusion basically represent your products, components, materials and other inputs that you use during production. By creating a virtual counterpart of the items (i.e. inputs and outputs that you use or produce), you will be able to precisely track these throughout the entire production and sales process and also to get detailed information about the inventory movements they generate.

It is important to emphasize, that item types in PIRO Fusion don’t necessarily represent physical inputs or outputs. They can also be a representation of services or other non-physical items that you want to track during the production and sales process, for instance labor fees that you want to bill to the customers.
