Customer category markups can also be defined for non-metal items and item groups:
- If you add an item type markup to a certain customer category the value of the markup will be added up to the price of the item type on all job orders of customers from this customer category.
- If you add an item group markup to a certain customer category, the value of the markup will be added up to the price of the item types belonging to the specified item group on job orders of customers from this group.
To add a new item type or item group markup click the Add button or use the icon and this will open the Add item type markup form.
- Define markup on: Here you can select whether you want to add the markup to all items of an item group or to a single item.
- Item group: If you have selected item group level markups, markup will be assigned to the item group selected in this field. If you selected specific item type level markups, you can specify the item group that the item type accurately belongs to.
- Item type: The field will only be shown if you want to add an item type level markup. The markup will be assigned to the item type selected.
- Markup/Price: Here you can specify the value of the markup or the fix price.
- Type: Item type markup types can be relative, absolute or of fixed price. Relative markups increase the price of the metal by the specified percentage. Absolute markups increase the price of the metal by a specified value. The fixed price option will define a new fixed price for the metal that will be applied to all members of a customer grouping.
