Adding/editing customer credits

If you add (with the Add button or icon) or edit (with the icon) a credit memo the Customer credit details form will open.

On this form you can specify the following information related to credit memos:

  1. Customer:This is the customer whom the credit memo will belong. The field is read-only, shows by default the name of the customer whose credit memos were accessed on the Customer credits panel. The customer’s detail form can be accessed clicking on the symbol next to the field.
  2. Credit memo #: The credit memo number is auto-generated by the system.
  3. PO #: You can specify the purchase order number in this field.
  4. WO #: You can specify the work order number in this field.
  5. Total: This is a read-only field that will display the total value of the items added to a credit memo.
  6. CM Date: You can select the date when the credit memo is created using this date-picker.
  7. Sales rep: You can assign a sales rep to the credit memo.
  8. Description: You can add a custom description to the credit memo in this text-field.

A new item can be added to the credit memo by saving the form and clicking the Add item button, this brings up the Credit memo item form:

The following fields are available on this form:

  1. Select group: You can select here the item group that includes the item type that is going to be added to the credit memo.
  2. Item type: You can select here the item type that it is going to be added to the credit memo.
  3. Quantity: You can specify in this field the quantity of the item type that it is going to be added to the credit memo.
  4. Price: You can specify in this field the price of the item type that it is going to be added to the credit memo.
  5. Total value: The total value (price*quantity) of the item type that is going to be added to the credit memo is calculated automatically in this read-only field.
  6. Invoice: You can select in this drop-down the invoice that includes the item type that is going to be added to the credit memo.
  7. Job order: You can select in this drop-down the job order that includes the item type that it is going to be added to the credit memo.
  8. Processed on inventory: If this check-box is selected the item type that it is added to the credit memo is also going to be added back to inventory (an incoming inventory movement will be generated with the specified quantity for the item type).
  9. Description: You can add a custom description to the item type that it is going to be added to the credit memo.

The item type with the specified information can be added to the credit memo by clicking on the Save button, however adding the item type can also be cancelled by clicking on the Cancel button.
