The Inventory settings, Notification & Auto reports management forms can be accessed from the Services grid’s More settings column. The icon opens these forms.
These tabs can be accessed from the service’s detail form as well, when opened in view mode instead of edit mode. In view mode, the More settings button is displayed on the service details form.
Inventory settings
This tab is used to set up the inventory setting for item types and item groups routed through this service. The available inventory settings are organized into a list.
New inventory settings for items types can be added using the Add new item type to inventory handling rule button or . When adding new rules, the Add new setting form is brought up and the following information can be specified:
- Group: Specifies the item group of the item type that the inventory settings will be applied for.
- Item type: Specifies the item type which will be handled according to the new inventory rule.
- Check on inventory upon entering service: If checked, the weight of the item type is checked on the inventory when routing job orders into the service. If there is insufficient item quantity on the inventory, the routing is stopped and can only be performed once the inventory has the necessary item quantity.
- Unload from inventory upon: The item quantity is subtracted from the inventory upon service start/finish, depending on the selected option.
- Load to inventory upon: The item quantity is added to the inventory upon service start/finish, depending on the selected option..
- Require item weight update upon: Updating the job item’s quantity is required upon service start, service finish or both, depending on the selected option.
- Use quantity from job order: If checked, the item quantity on the job order is used on the weight entry form, which can then be adjusted. If unchecked, the item quantity is set to ‘0’ on the weight entry form. This setting is not recommended to be used for metals at the time they are being measured. Instead, this setting is useful for items typically having fixed quantities on the job order, but which can nevertheless be verified and adjusted.
