The Metal prices module in PIRO Fusion is a complex tool that can be used to manage and track metal prices. Prices can be automatically updated at regular customizable intervals using the prices available on major commodity exchanges (APMEX, New York Market, London Fix or Golden Blessing-Israel). Alternatively, prices can be manually added in by PIRO Fusion users. Additional fees, such as bank charges or company markups, can also be incorporated in the price of any metal type. Furthermore, prices added in PIRO Fusion can be tracked using the market price history functionality and the in-built charting tool.

The Metal prices tab includes two sub-tabs:
- Current market prices
- Market price history
Below we shall look at each of these sub-tabs in detail.
Current market prices
The Current market prices tab displays the latest market prices available in PIRO Fusion for pure metals and casting alloys, which are handled as the current market prices. These market prices are used to calculate the current prices of item types having market-based pricing set up and which include metals.
Current prices
The upper section of the form displays the latest market prices available for pure metals (24k Gold, Platinum, Palladium, Silver) separately in OZT, Dwt and Gram. These pure metals are displayed in individual sub-tabs. The market price is the base price, completely absent of any markups. The date when the latest market prices were updated (either manually or automatically) in PIRO Fusion is indicated in the top-left corner of this section.
PIRO Fusion can also incorporate additional fees, such as bank charges and company markups, in the price of the pure metals. This results in customizable pure metal prices at the company level, also referred to as Company prices in PIRO Fusion. These additional fees may be set individually for each pure metal by filling in the Bank charge/ozt and Company markup fields. The fees are then added to the pure metal market prices.
The OZT price, Bank Charges and Company markup fields are editable, and the user may enter any custom values in these fields, with a few considerations. Bank charges represent an absolute value that is added to pure metal market prices, while company markups represent a percentage by which the sum between the market prices and bank charges is then increased, e.g. metal market gram price=$25, bank charge=$5, company markup=10%. Company gram price = (25+5)+(30*10/100).
The Company dwt price and Company gram price fields are recalculated automatically when the bank charge or company markup has been changed.
After filling the mentioned fields, you should save the entered data using the Save for current date button. However if you want to define the metal prices for another date use the Save for different date button and select a date.
Market price evolution in last 30 days
The charting tool in the bottom section of the form allows tracking the pure metal price evolution in the last 30 days. Gold, platinum, palladium and silver market prices are each displayed on separate charts.
Casting alloy company prices
The Casting alloy company prices section displays the company prices in dwt and grams for all casting alloys added in PIRO Fusion. The price is calculated by multiplying the percentage of pure metal in a particular casting alloy (based on the ratios determined in the Inventory menu / Metal types tab) with the company price of the pure metal in dwt or gram. It is important to note that the pure metal company markups and bank charges are both included in the prices of casting alloys displayed in this list. Whenever the pure metal bank charges or company markups are modified and the user hits Save for current date / Save for different date in the first section, the casting alloy company prices are automatically recalculated as well.
Market price history
The Market price history tab displays the history of the daily pure metal market prices. This applies both to manually set metal prices and metal prices uploaded automatically using a particular market feed.
The grid columns display the following information related to daily market prices:
- Price list type: Displays the name of the market from which PIRO Fusion takes the pure metal price quotes. There are four available market types: London, New York, Apmex and Golden Blessing-Israel.

Filters

The following filters are available:
