This tool is used to calculate the price and weight of a metal product based on the wax or silver model.
How to access from the navigation bar:

The metal calculator has the following attributes and
variables:
- Model: Specifies the model’s material, which can be wax or silver.
- Model weight: The weight of the wax or silver model.
- Model weight MU.: The measure unit of the weight of the model, either grams or pennyweights.
- Casting metal: The raw metal material which the finished product will be made of.
- Casting weight MU.: The measure unit of the casting metal, which can be grams, pennyweights or troy ounces. The casting weight varies depending on the measure unit. Changing the measure unit immediately updates the casting weight value.
- Casting weight: The model’s casting weight, which is calculated based on the model type, weight and casting metal type.
- Weight error margin: The tolerance interval of the weight measurement.
- Price/OZT: The price of one troy ounce (OZT) of the product. The unit price is immediately displayed after specifying the casting metal.
- Markup/Discount: Markups or discounts may be added to the metal price. Markups are defined using positive numbers, e.g. 30.00%. Discounts are defined using negative numbers, e.g. -10.00%.
- Labor price: An additional fee (e.g. labor wages) for every piece, which is added to the grand total multiplied by the quantity.
- Quantity: The needed quantity (in pieces) of the finished product.
- Metal price: The final metal price based on all values specified in the metal calculator.
Use the Calculate button to get the product’s metal price. This includes the labor price and markup, if any. The Reset button resets all values and settings entered on the calculator.
