The term alloy in PIRO Fusion is used for alloys used as base material for casting alloys.
Viewing Alloys
On the Alloys tab the alloys created in PIRO Fusion will be displayed in alphabetical order. The columns of the list show the following information:
- Name: Displays the name of the alloy.
- Code: Displays the unique code that identifies the alloy in the system.
- Wax weight multiplier: In this field you can define the multiplier factor that will be used by PIRO Fusion to convert the wax weight into the weight of a particular alloy. In the Casting tree management menu the metal weight used on a particular casting tree will be estimated based on this multiplier.
- Price: Displays the price per gram of the alloy.
- Description: Displays the description added to the alloy on the Alloy details form.
- Linked item type: Displays the name of the item type corresponding to a particular alloy under Item types management.
Adding/editing an alloy
If you add (with the Create new button under the item type’s grid or icon) or copy (with the Copy button or
icon – the Copy button is available only when a casting alloy is selected) or edit (with the
icon) an alloy, the Alloy form will open. The following basic properties of the alloy can be defined on this form:
- Name: The name of the alloy can be entered in this field.
- Code: A unique code that identifies the alloy in the system can be entered in this field.
- Wax weight multiplier: It displays the multiplicator that will be used by PIRO Fusion to convert the wax weight into the weight of the alloy.
- Weight: The weight of the alloy can be specified in this field.
- Price: The price per gram of the alloy can be entered in this field.
- Density: The density of the alloy can be entered in this field.
- Description: A description can be added to the alloy in this text-field.
