Inventory item groups

Item groups in PIRO Fusion are used for grouping certain item types to make them manageable through the item group’s profile:

• Certain properties and settings of the item types included by the item group.
• Certain properties of inventory items generated for the item types of the item group.
• The custom attributes assigned to the item types of the item group.

The efficiency of this functionality consists in the fact that these properties, settings and attributes need to be defined only once on the item group’s profile and all the item types included in the item group will inherit them.

Furthermore, by segmenting item types into groups created in a logical structure they become simpler to overview and easier to search.
