This tab is only available for attributes using the File – Image, File – Generic or File – Large & Small Image value types. The following information can be specified:
File settings section
- File storage type: specifies the location where the file is stored. The following options are available:
- Database: the file is stored as binary data in the database.
- External drive: the file is stored on an external drive. The location of the external folder where the files are stored is defined in Admin settings from the Administration menu.
- Disk storage intranet: if checked, the file is copied directly on to the File server. This option is fastest, since the PIRO Fusion server is not involved and the copying operation is performed between the client and the file server. If unchecked, the file is sent to the PIRO Fusion Server which will do the rest of the work. This option is simpler, and is useful for smaller files.
- Both: if checked, the file is stored both in the database and in the external network storage folder.
- Disk storage intranet: specifies whether the external disk storage is located on the internal network (intranet).
- File has description: if checked, searching based on the later-defined file description is possible.
- Delete original file: if checked, the original image will be deleted once it is uploaded and saved in PIRO Fusion.
